Blue
Ridge Birding
At The Library
The
Blue Ridge
Discovery Center
will present
"BIRDING
BASICS & BLUE RIDGE BIRDING HOTSPOTS"
at the
local libraries this month, on Monday, April 15, 2013,
from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Carroll County Public
Library, 101 Beaver Dam Road, Hillsville, and on
Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at
the Galax Public Library, 610 West Stuart Drive, Galax.
The Blue Ridge Discovery
Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to
exploring, discovering and sharing the natural history
of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Their Avian Adventures
programs increase awareness of the rich, diverse
avifauna of the Blue Ridge region and inspire personal
efforts to become more familiar with bird life in
backyards and beyond. Their slogan says, “Come be a part
of your world.”
All
are welcome to join us at either library for the birding
programs.
